Student Charity Work – Help Where It’s Needed

On December 7th 2012, the 9th annual award ceremony for student participation in university life, the ‘Iron Eggs’, took place at the HSE Cultural Centre.
University Open Day
From the very beginning, the Higher School of Economics has been unique among Russian universities in terms of its openness to the world, and a recent open air day in Gorky Park is just one more example of this. For the first time, not only prospective students and their parents, but literally the ‘man in the street’ were all able to get information about the HSE, attend lectures by some of the best professors and guest experts, and, the most important, to actually see the people who make up the university. And all of this happened in a place named ‘HSE Land’ by the organizers, in the open air on the bank of the Moskva River in a beautiful park setting.
Victory in Paris
Evgeny Litvinenko, third-year student of the HSE School of Statistics, has become one of the winners of the International Piano Competition for Outstanding Amateurs in Paris.
15 HSE Students will Go to Singapore
On October 20th 2011 the winners of a competition organized by the HSE Innovation and Enterprise Office were announced, with the successful entrants going on to visit the National University of Singapore from January 13th – 20th 2012 as part of a student exchange programme.
